Veterinarian Referral

Susie Schimansky has been a client with our animal hospital since 2002. I am impressed by Renee's compassion and dedication to her dogs. Southern Storm Kennels puts the welfare and health of their dogs first and foremost. A veterinarian regularly examines each of Southern Storm's dogs. Each new dog or litter of puppies is carefully screened for any problems or health concerns. All dogs are kept up to date on heartworm prevention, vaccinations and deworming. Susie is diligent about monitoring any health problem and addressing it immediately. She follows veterinary recommendations for all of her dogs.

As a veterinarian, I can testify that the Southern Storm German Shepherds have excellent temperaments. These dogs are easy to handle, easy to approach, and easy to work with. Southern Storm Kennels' level of care surpasses most, and I would strongly recommend these dogs to anyone looking for a quality German Shepherd.

How are you? I just wanted thank you for bringing Teddy into our lives. He's an amazing dog and we love him so much. He is smart as a whip and a real show stopper. Everytime I walk him people stop me on the street. He's growing at quite the fast pace. The first time the vet saw him she said he was going to be a big boy and she seems to be correct.

He is the most cuddly German Shepherd that we've ever owned. It's not exacty a trait that they are known for. My daughter took him for a walk in Central Park yesterday and she sat down on a bench so he just sat on her lap. She said it was such a funny sight that people stopped to take pictures.

I just wanted to let you know that he's getting a lot of love and giving us lots of love. I'm attaching 2 recent pictures of him. I hope all is well with you.

Just a quick update and a few pictures for you. Macie is doing great! She has adjusted better than I thought she would and the other dogs have calmed down and accepted her as a full-fledged member of the pack. My papillon, Ella, plays with her most of the time and even Koda, the alpha, enjoys running around with her in the yard. We've learned how to teach her bite inhibition and she is much more gentle with our fingers and toes now. She is incredibly smart and catches on to what she is supposed to do very quick. Her appetite is very good and Daury, my wife, is certain she has already grown noticeably since we got her a week ago. She is taking to the crate a little better but to be frank we spoil her and let her sleep outside of it at night whenever one of us is around to watch her. She doesn't like the heat during the middle of the day but is a bundle of energy once it cools off some in the evening and we take her out. We've done a little training with her in the pool, teaching her where the pool steps are so she knows where to get out and letting her dog paddle a short distance. She seems to like the water better than any of our other dogs. Everybody loves her very much. I can't tell you how happy I am when I get home from the hospital and she's jumping up and down when she sees me and then follows me around. Right now she's fast asleep on the floor next to me in my office. I've posted pictures of her on my Facebook page and have pictures on my iPhone that I show everyone at work. Getting lots of compliments and I'm telling everyone who asks that we got her from Southern Storm Kennels. She really is everything I had hoped and then some. Our first visit to the vet is later this week and I'll let you know how everything goes. Thanks again.

Our purchase of Diesel was made with tremendous internet research and trepidation as there were numerous purchase options for German Shepherd dogs. He is our first male Shepherd and follows two wonderful female Shepherds we have had for many years. Diesel had a lot to measure up to. We were looking for an intelligent deep pigmented red and black male that would be a loving pet and extend personal protection. Diesel has given all of this and more. He gets along well with other dogs and children of all ages. Obedience training is under way and his trainer has stated that Diesel is very smart, learning quickly. Susie has been assistive, available, and helpful from before the sale until today, six months since the purchase. I would highly encourage anyone interested in a quality German Shepherd to contact Susie Schimansky. One word describes Diesel: Beautiful!

There is nothing I could write that could actually describe the positive impact and how happy Roger has made our family. We purchased Roger from Southern Storm Kennels, he is just GREAT all over and is extremely intelligent.

Roger went through puppy training and was first of his class. He is very friendly with people and other dogs; he is also very protective of our family, house and especially of our children. Roger is not just a pet, but he is actually another family member.

Our family will be always grateful to Susie Schimansky, Southern Storm Kennels owner, for being such a caring and responsible person and for having allowed our family to have Roger as another family member. Susie cares more for her dog's happiness and safety than making a quick buck. EmaLee is the second German Shepherd we bought from Southern Storm Kennels. She is a FANTASTIC all around girl (intelligent, energetic, loving, and playful). After buying our first German Shepherd (Roger) from Southern Storm we just had to buy EmaLee from Southern Storm as well.

Dear Susie,

Well, it has been a month now since Argus "Gus" made the long journey from Florida to Alaska. I cannot express to you enough the joy he has brought to my life. Wherever we go, people comment on what a beautiful, well-behaved puppy he is. His excellent manners and his warm and loving demeanor have made him a welcome guest at local businesses and homes of friends and families alike. Gus is very intelligent and learns commands very quickly. I have had so much fun challenging him and watching him learn. He approaches all animals and people with openness and interest and has made lots of friends around town.

I'd especially like to thank you, Susie, for allowing me to bring Gus into my home. You have been so supportive and available from our very first contact. It is a little scary, purchasing an animal over the internet, but you walked me through it and really put me at ease. Argus is everything you told me he was/would be and more. When/if I decide to add another dog to my family, the only call I will make will be to you. I am convinced your dogs are the very best out there, in beauty, intelligence and temperment.
